Accepting weather to be a part of a particular movie or not, totally depends on the particular actor being offered the role. It is not a new thing that the actor refuses to work in particular scripts and the same script turns out into a successful movie with some other actor performing the rejected character. But it rarely happens that the movies rejected by a particular actor turn out successful with the same accepting actor in multiple movies.
The same is the case with Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. Here is a list of movies that Ranbir Kapoor refused to work in, but Ranveer Singh accepted those movies which became successful.
1) Band Baaja Baaraat
The story started off with Ranveer Singh’s debut movie itself. The movie Band Baaja Baarat was first offered to Ranbir Kapoor. Ranbir Kapoor didn’t find the script much interesting but this resulted in the launch of Ranveer Singh in Bollywood as Bitto.
2) Goliyon Ki Raasleela-Ram-Leela
Once again Ranbir Kapoor became the originator of the love story between Deepika and Ranveer as he turned down the script of the Goliypon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela. And this movie became DeepVeer’s first movie together.
3) Gully Boy
The story is continued to Ranveer Singh’s latest release Gully Boy. The movie by Zoya Akhtar was also first offered to Ranbir Kapoor. Now, the tables have turned so much that it is very difficult to imagine anyone else playing the street rapper other than Ranveer Singh.
