The audience is going to witness Deepika Padukone in a new avatar in her upcoming movie Chhapaak. In this movie Deepika is going to play Malti, this character is a real-life portrayal of Laxmi Agarwal, who is an acid attack victim and her struggle post the heart-wrenching tragedy. Deepika melted down in emotions previously during the trailer launch of Chhapaak and confessed that no matter how many more films she gets to be a part of or has been a part of, this role will always be the most special of them all. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the movie is also going to showcase Vikrant Massey who is going to play the role of Amol, real-life Alok Dixit, a social activist who will be helping Deepika’s character to seek justice for the unjust done to her.
For those of you who don’t know Alok Dixit and Laxmi Agarwal are married to each other in real life. And this new song Nok Jhok from the movie Chhapaak takes one on a warm ride of their journey which begins with Amol (Vikrant) taking a stand for Deepika’s character Malti, in helping her find her voice to fight against the turmoil she is put through, and slowly captures all the moments which lead up to their friendship blooms into a love story. The song is about the disagreements they have, the small fights they get into, the fondness which eventually grows between them, all creating an essence of their new relationship with each other. Surely, this love story is a gem to witness along with the melodious song playing in the background in which the new pairing of Deepika and Vikrant is causing some definite sparks.
Chhapaak is all set to release on the big screen on January 10, 2020. It will be interesting to know how the audience is going to receive this thriller, looking at the trailer of the same it has sent chills down one’s spine.
