The movie, which is doing incredibly well at the box office, made Rs 12 crore on the seventh day, increasing its first week’s gross earnings to Rs 80.86 crore.


This is a sizable audience, even for a big-budget movie on a weekday in the post-pandemic era. The Kerala Story would earn more than Rs 100 crore in its second weekend if things continue. In fact, it’s possible that the movie may surpass the $200 million mark in the following days, which would signal an exceptional achievement for a movie during this post-pandemic period.


The Kerala Story was released on May 5 in the midst of all the controversy surrounding it. The film Has gained attention for a number of reasons, such as factual errors and the promotion of prejudice against other populations.
