The latest Hindi film ‘The Kashmir Files’ has got the entire nation talking. The houseful shows, the tearful eyes, the unity amongst common people on social media says volume about the film’s impact on the hearts and minds of the citizens.
However, a section of society isn’t happy with the film and calls it propaganda. Vivek Agnihotri is also accused of spreading hatred amongst people with his film. A video has surfaced online where Vivek Agnihotri can be seen clashing with the media and the police.
The video is from Hyderabad when Vivek paid a visit to Bhagyalaxmi Temple a day before the release of his film. As he came out of the temple after seeking God’s blessings, he was hounded by the media. The journalists accused him of spreading hatred, to which, he replied, “The film is made on the terrorist act done in 1990. My aim is to promote humanity. I am not promoting hatred.”
A journalist interrupted him as he said, “But your film is instigating hate.”
Vivek replied, “How does a film against terrorism spread hate? If I am making a film on terrorism and how an entire culture was destroyed, and I have to give clarification on the same while standing in my own country, I don’t think anything can be more shameful.”

While he was interacting with the media, a policeman intervened and asked him to leave the premises. Vivek said with folded hands, “Why can’t I talk to the media? State a reason and I will leave.”
The cop said, “This is temple area. You have to leave.”
As Vivek was mobbed by a dozen media personnel, he said, “You should stop the media and not me.”
The cop replied, “They are local people. I can’t stop them.”
This upset Vivek and he said, “So, Am I not a local person?”
Vivek was eventually made to exit the temple premises amidst the media interaction.
