The long-awaited film ‘The Kashmir Files’ finally hit the theatres on 11th March. It has received massive support from the citizens of the nation as it is based on a real historic event that has been undocumented by the government and ignored by the media. The nation, however, has not forgotten the horror of the year 1990 when lakhs of Hindus were forced to leave their own homes in Kashmir valley. When women were raped, men were killed and kids were orphaned.
So, when director Vivek Agnihotri dared to present the story to the world, the common citizens gathered to support his film, as for them it is not a cinematic experience but an emotion, and an acknowledgement of the injustice done to the Hindus in 1990.
