‘The Kashmir Files’ is based on the exodus of lakhs of Kashmiri Pandits from the Kashmir valley in 1990. The film features Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborty in the leading roles. It is the first film that highlights the plight of Kashmiri Pandits.

Since the film is not backed by a big banner, it has a limited number of screens. On the other hand, Radhe Shyam, produced by T-Series is being massively promoted and is expected to have a bumper opening at the box office.
