Thank God Makers Made These Modifications Ahead Of The Release, Check Out

Considering the sentiments of Hindus the makers of Thank God decided to make modifications ahead of the release

Ever since the trailer of Thank God was released netizens slammed the upcoming movie for hurting religious sentiments. Way before the release scheduled on Diwali the movie faced legal troubles for inaccurately portraying Chitagupt. However, considering the sentiments of Hindus the makers of Thank God decided to make modifications ahead of the release.

The story is of a common man played by Sidharth Malhotra who lands in the court of Chitragupt essayed by Ajay Devgn after his road accident. Kayastha community, which praises Lord Chitragupt, raised issues against the movie for wrongly portraying their deity.

Recent reports suggest that the makers have made a couple of changes to the film. The character name of Ajay Devgn previously named Chitragupt has been changed to CG. The makers used the initials but avoided referring to him as Chitragupt.

A source close to the development told Bollywood Hungama, “A new trailer of Thank God was released last week by the makers. It shows that Ajay Devgn is playing a character named CG. The makers felt it was wise to avoid addressing him as Chitragupta. Hence, they decided to use the initials CG. All dialogues where the word Chitragupta was mentioned were replaced with CG.”

According to Bollywood Hungama reports the film has been awarded a U/A certificate with three modifications. A shot of visuals of offering a sweet to the idol of Lord Hanuman was replaced with a back shot angle. The name of a liquor brand was blurred and the disclaimer was modified and its time was increased so that the viewers can read it properly.

Thank God is directed by Indra Kumar and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the banner of TSeries and Maruti International. The family entertainer will be released in cinemas on October 25 and will clash with Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu.
