Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior Box Office Collection On Day 3

Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan starer Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior stands tall against Chhapaak at the Box Office with a collection of Rs 25 crores on Day 3.

The movie “Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior” featuring the tale of the great Maratha warrior Tanaji Malusare starring Ajay Devgn as the lead and Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist hit the big screen this Friday. Even though “Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior” locked horns with Meghna Gulzar directed “Chhappak”, the Box Office collection is proof that it has eventually survived the clash.

“Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior” collected Rs 15.10 Crores on day one, whereas “Chhapaak” lagged at 4.75 crores on the same day. Both the movies got its fair share of good reviews from the public and as well as the critics, but it seems like Tanhaji has won over the hearts of the viewers. The Box Office collection of Tanhaji jumped further in a big way to collect Rs 25 crores on Day 3 owing to the holiday and also its popularity.

As of now, “Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior” has collected Rs 60.67 crores at the Box Office. Given that this film has many more days to stay on the big screen it will come as no surprise if it goes on to collect Rs 100 crore to become the first film of this decade to enter the  100 crore club. The film lead Ajay Devgn is getting showered with praises for his absolute portrayal of Tanaji Malusare but the bigger surprise is that even Saif Ali Khan has won the audience’s heart instead of playing the grey character of Udaybhan Singh Rathod, a Rajput sent by the Mughals to destroy the fort captured by the Marathas.

Overall the film is a treat to watch for the history lovers and as well as for those people who enjoy action thrillers. Keeping aside the performances by Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan in the film, even the contribution of other actors such as Kajol, Sharad Kelkar, Shashank Shende have played a pivotal role in the movie’s success.

The movie “Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior” grabs the attention of the audience and takes them for a ride into the era of great Maratha warriors and their triumphs, with a rich tale narrated in an enthralling way.
