Tapsee Pannu’s ‘Haseen Dillruba’ is now back with a sequel to 2021’s dark comedy. After a funny banter on social media between producer Aanand L Rai, female lead Taapsee Pannu and writer Kanika Dhillon, the makers made an official announcement by unveiling the first poster of the sequel.
The poster featured the actress flaunting her sleeveless back to the camera and with her face towards the Taj Mahal. Another small detail in the poster that will pique audience’s interest about the project is we can notice a blood dripping out of Taapsee’s finger.
While sharing the poster on her social media handles, Taapsee wrote, āEk naye sheher mein, phir ek baartehelka machaane aa rahi hai, humari Hasseen Dillruba! #PhirAayiHasseenDillrubaā.
Although makers haven’t revealed any detail regarding the film’s main plot, we can make a calculated guess from the first poster, that the film’s story will seemingly take place near Agra.
Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey will be seen reprising their roles for the sequel with an addition of new cast member- Sunny Kaushal. The sequel will be directed by Jayprad Desai, who had earlier helmed Shreyas Talpade starrer sports biopic ‘Kaun Pravin Tambe’ (2022).
Ā Haseen Dillruba was directed by Vinil Mathew and written by Kanika Dhillon. The film mostly received positive response from the critics and audience after it’s direct to digital premiere on Netflix in July 2021.
