Taapsee Pannu Requests Netizens To Boycott Her Film Dobaaraa

The Dobaaraa film cast and team were recently spotted at a promotional event for the film. While during the event the film director Anurag Kashyap and Taapsee Pannu opened up about the trending cancel culture aka the boycott trend on Twitter.

Reacting to the trend, Anurag Kashyap said, “I am feeling left out. Even I want ki meri film boycott karo…please make our film trend on Twitter by boycotting.” Sharing her views on the matter actress Taapsee Pannu said, ” Yes please boycott Dobaaraa trend karva do…we also want to trend on Twitter.”

Days before the release of the film, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ a boycott trend has been trending on Twitter, in which many netizens used the hashtag #BoycottLaalSinghChaddha, asking people to not watch the movie. Meanwhile, after Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha the netizens later decided to boycott Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Raksha Bandhan.

Apart from Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan, Alia Bhatt’s film Darlings also became a target of the cancel culture. Reacting to the same she told DNA, “I don’t give any attention to it and the fact that journalists are giving attention to it also shows how used to we have become focusing on the negative. We never focus on the positive. How do you know where that is coming from or how manufactured it is? How do you know how organic it is?”

Meanwhile, recently the Raksha Bandhana actor Akshay also opened up about the trend and said, “If you don’t feel like watching the movie, then don’t. It’s a free country and the film is out there, so if someone wants to watch it or not, it’s up to them. I would like to tell you, no matter which industry it is, be it the clothing industry, film industry or anything else, all of these help the economy. But doing things like boycotting movies, it doesn’t make sense,” PTI reports stated.
