Bollywood star Swara Bhasker on Wednesday shared a picture of a threat letter on her Instagram account. Following this Mumbai police launched an investigation. Meanwhile, recently the Bollywood megastar Salman Khan also received a letter in his name.
Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker is known for her boldness and strong political views which she shares every now and then and for which she has been a target for the trollers as well. However, things have gone a bit too far as the actress took to her social media on Wednesday and shared a picture of a threat letter that she received from an anonymous person.
Swara shared the letter on her social media and wrote, “Desh ke naujawan to khair sadkon par naukri ki maang kar rahe hain. Par ek prajati mehengai, berozgari, bhukhmari sab sahegi bas etihasik sach aur tathya nahi sahegi!” (The youth of the country are demanding jobs on the streets. But one species will suffer inflation, unemployment, starvation.. But not historical truth and facts, So much anger”).
Meanwhile, netizens are supporting Swara. An Instagram user wrote, “Stay strong, keep the good work up.” Another user wrote, “What’s wrong with such people… God give them a piece of mind.. I support you Swara.”
As per the reports, the letter was sent to Swara’s residence located in Versova. After receiving the letter, Swara approached Versova police station on Monday and lodged a complaint against unidentified persons. “Based on the complaint, we have registered a non-cognizable offense against unidentified persons,” officials said, adding that the investigation is on.
Meanwhile, it is also said that the threat letter was sent to Swara for her alleged insult to politician and activist Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, popularly known as Veer Savarkar. The letter mentioned that the youth of the country will not tolerate the insult of Veer Savarkar.
Previously, Bollywood actor Salman Khan also received a threat letter following the death of Punjabi singer and rapper Sidhu Moose Wala. Officials revealed that it was sent to Salman was from Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. And the reason behind sending the letter was to threaten the actor and to create an atmosphere to show their power. “The gang was preparing to extort money from big businessmen and actors,”.
