Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty is back with MTV Roadies as a gang leader a few years after she faced a major setback in her career after she got arrested in a drug case involving her boyfriend and late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Her suspected purchase of drugs for her actor boyfriend Sushant, who passed away in 2020, led to her being accused by the Narcotics Bureau in 2020. She was granted bail and released last year. Rhea is currently making a three-year comeback to show business. The actress said in a video she posted on Monday that she would play a “gang leader” on the upcoming season of MTV Roadies.
Taking to her Instagram handle, she shared a teaser video featuring herself and wrote in the caption, “Sambhal ke rehna hai ya darr ke? Jo bhi ho ignore nahi kar paoge! Get ready for the auditions of MTV Roadies, – Karm Ya Kaand.” In the video, she can be heard to saying, “aapko kya laga, mein wapis nahi aaungi, darr jaungi, ab darne ki baari kisi aur ki, milte auditions pe.”
As soon as the video took place on the internet, netizens started trolling and criticising it. One user wrote, “How can Roadies select her.. please boycott Roadies. U can take any one else not her,. #justiceforssr. Ban rhea.” Another user wrote, “R stands for Ranvijay. Definitely NOT for reha pls don’t watch for SUSHANT SHINGH RAJPUT.” One more user wrote, “I just can’t tolarate this girl… I don’t know why….not gonna watch this season!!!!”
Even now Sushant’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti has also reacted and asked why would you be scare? She wrote in Hindi, “why would you be afraid You were, are, and will remain a prostitute! The question is who are your consumers? Only a ruler can give this courage.”
The other two gang leaders are Bigg Boss famed Gautam Gulati, and Prince Narula. Beginning on April 13, auditions for Roadies 19 will take place in Chandigarh, Delhi, Indore, and Pune, among other locations.
