2. Chhichhore

Chhichhore was yet another major hit given by Sushant Singh Rajput starring Shraddha Kapoor alongside. The film features a journey from college-time friendships, romances, ragging, fights, competitions, and countless memories. It has been a relevant film with a rather important message conveyed through an engaging narrative. Set in the 1990s and 2019, Chhichhore tells the story of Aniruddh “Anni” Pathak, a middle-aged divorcee whose son Raghav tries to commit suicide but survives, which forces Anirudh (Sushant Singh Rajput)  to take a trip down memory lane and reminisce his college days along with his friends.

Kai Po Che marked the debut of the lt. actor in Bollywood in 2013. The film starred Sushant along with Raj Kumar Rao and Amit Sadh presenting the most loved trio. The film features three friends who start an academy to train aspiring cricketers. But before they realize their goals, they experience an earthquake, an unstable political situation, and communal riots.

4. Detective Byomkesh Bakshy

Set in the musty lanes of Calcutta in the 1940s, Sushant plays the protagonist who successfully navigates his way through the world of crimes and tries to save the city with his sharp mind. A commendable performance that was well-received by the audience, Detective Byomkesh Bakshy is a delight for the mystery lovers.

5. Kedarnath

Kedarnath featured Sushant Singh Rajput as a porter while the film also marked the debut of Sara Ali Khan. Kedarnath was based on the devastating Uttarakhand floods in 2013 that swept the entire town and killed about 197 people. He flawlessly essayed the role of a Muslim porter who carried pilgrims to the temple and falls in love with a local Hindu girl from the same town. Sushant’s realistic portrayal of the porter gave us a glimpse into the lives of the locals in the mountains and yep, the end scene of the movie made us tear up.
