Sunny Deol A Troublemaker? Accused Of Cheating By Producers

Sunny Deol made many false deals with film producers. He took money from producers but hasn't completed movies yet.

Gadar actor Sunny Deol made a media sensation after his massive hit Gadar 2. The actor is known for his off-screen peaceful nature and decency. But producer Sorav Gupta has made some serious allegations about Sunny Deol. He is accused of forgery and cheating. Sorav Gupta from Sundawn Entertainment Pvt Ltd said in a press conference that Sunny Deol took money from him to make a movie, but he never made one.

In 2016, Ghayal actor took money in advance. The producer signed an agreement with Sunny as lead for his film and gave him Rs.4 crore as fee. Talking to HT, the producer revealed, “We gave him ₹1cr in advance but instead of starting my film, he opted to shoot for Poster Boys instead. He kept asking me for more money and by now my ₹2.55cr is in Sunny ji’s account. He also made me give money to another director, book Filmistaan studio and get an executive producer.”

Not only this, but Sunny also made some changes to the deal document in 2023. He forged that agreement and changed a page. Sunny changed fees to 8 crore and added 2 crore as profit. Film producer and filmmaker Suneel Darshan supported producer Gupta. The Jaanwar director shared such a bad experience he had with Sunny Deol. He disclosed in the same conference, “Sunny Deol acquired rights from my movie Ajay (1996) for overseas distribution and only made a partial payment. The balance payment never came through. Later, Sunny requested me to work on a project with him, saying, ‘Have faith in me, help me out’, and got me to pay him again.”

Another anonymous source in the industry made some harsh revelations about Sunny in conversation with HT, he said, “He is a known troublemaker for years. Sunny had given a bound script of a film called Ram Janmbhumi to a producer who created a huge set in Mumbai. Sunny signed the film for ₹5cr. But later, he refused to come to the sets and demanded a fees of ₹25cr because he had delivered a blockbuster.”

Producer Gupta filed a complaint against the actor. The notice was sent to him on April 30. But he was out of town the day he had to present. Sunny’s this fake and scammed nature might be a danger to his upcoming film ‘Lahore 1947’.
