In a recent interview, actress Sujata Mehta revealed a never-before-told story about Salman Khan and Sangeeta Bijlani’s relationship. While the two stars who have long been the subject of rumours, Sujata now confirms the affair between these two Bollywood stars, sharing an insight from their initial modeling days. According to her, Salman Khan and Sangeeta Bijlani were quite close in the early years of their careers, way before Salman becoming a superstar and their bond went beyond just rumours.
During the conversation with Hindi Rush, Sujata shared the time when she was along with her contemporaries like Juhi Chawla and Sangeeta during th shoot for a calendar in a photo studio that’s when Salman Khan made a surprise appearance. Sujata recalled, “Humlog shoot kar rahe the aur suddenly koi aaya, Sangeeta aur main.. hum dono the. Main boli ‘Kaun hai?’ and that was Salman!”
She then went on to reveal, “Yes, that was Salman, tabhi Salman aur Sangeeta ka affair chal raha tha.” This conversation made it clear that the couple’s connection was more than just friendship at the time.
In the same interview, Sujata also described Salman Khan as a calm and simple person. She added, “He was so simple” and reminisced about bumping into him after that moment.
While Salman Khan and Sangeeta Bijlani never worked together on-screen, they were once engaged. Their relationship reportedly ended when Sangeeta discovered Salman’s affair with Pakistani-American actress Somy Ali.
Despite their past breakup, Salman Khan and Sangeeta Bijlani continue to share a good friendship even today. Recently, Sangeeta also attended Salman’s 59th birthday celebrations on December 27.
