Stree 2 Creates HISTORY, Becomes First HINDI Film To Cross 600Cr In India!

Stree2BoxOffice: Released back on 15 August 2024, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer horror comedy film, Stree 2 has been breaking records after records since its release. Stree 2 which serves as the sequel to the 2018 release, Stree has managed to become the highest-grosser of 2024. After beating several recent blockbuster films like Animal, Jawan, Pathaan, Gadar 2, and others, Stree 2 has now created yet another record of becoming the first Hindi film to cross the Rs 600 Crore mark in India.

Stree 2 Box Office Collection

Yes, you read that right, Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 has achieved a remarkable milestone at the box office, defying expectations for a mid-budget film, it has soared to become one of the all-time biggest blockbusters. Not only has it crossed the ₹600 crore mark domestically, making it just the second Hindi film to do so, but it has also set a new industry record as the first Hindi film to reach this figure in a single language. This achievement raises the bar for future films in the industry.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh reported that by Saturday, Stree 2 had reached ₹598.90 crore, only ₹1.1 crore away from the ₹600 crore milestone. On Sunday, the film added ₹4.85 crore, boosting its overall domestic earnings to an impressive ₹603.75 crore.

The film saw a significant surge in its performance on Friday, thanks to Cinema Day, which slashed ticket prices to ₹99 and drew massive crowds. After earning ₹24.65 crore in its fifth week, Stree 2 witnessed an incredible 203% jump on Friday alone, collecting ₹5 crore. This upward trend extended through the weekend, with ₹3.65 crore coming in on Saturday and another ₹4.85 crore added on Sunday.

Despite being in theatres for five weeks, the film continues to maintain its strong momentum without any signs of slowing down.
