“Lootera Is Out of the World!”

Discussing about his “apple of his eye”, daughter Sonakshi’s career, Shatrughan fondly expressed immense pride in her achievements. Although her 2024 and 2023 projects like Heeramandi and Dahaad, respectively have garnered praise, Shatrughan revealed that it is Sonakshi’s Lootera, the 2013 film that holds a special place in his heart!

“Lekin main abhi bhi kahunga, mujhe Sonakshi ki jo sabse badiya film lagi thi ‘Lootera’, out of the world! What a film!” he exclaimed, it was evident how his eyes lit up and smile widely as he spoke about her compelling performance. While he admitted he hasn’t watched most of her films, Lootera left a lasting impression on him.

A Proud Father’s Take on Sonakshi’s Versatility

This year, Sonakshi not only delivered a stellar performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi, a period drama but also shined bright as a fearless cop in last years’ release, Amazon Prime Video’s Dahaad. Praising her flexibility as an actor, Shatrughan remarked, “Kya shades hai, roles ke kya flexibilities hai!” Further He also highlighted a lesser-known trait of Sonakshi and he concluded saying, “Ek aur cheez hai jo kam logon ne notice kiya hoga, Sonakshi mein sense of humour bhi bahut badiya hai!” These heartfelt words showcased the pride and admiration he holds for her.

The interview also touched upon Sonakshi’s personal life including her recent marriage to Zaheer Iqbal and anecdotes from her childhood.
