Sona Mohapatra Sympathises With Rhea Chakraborty

Sona Mohapatra condemns the media trails against Rhea Chakraborty in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.

Singer Sona Mohapatra has condemned the media trails and toxic behavior towards Rhea Chakraborty in the ongoing investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput case. She wrote on Twitter, “While Rajput’s grieving family may have reasons..what reasons do millions of people consuming this overt witch-hunt of Rhea have? With the consumption of such news and media, we become a part of this ritualistic media witch-hunt that wants Rhea’s blood.”

She then also said, “The death is very tragic & justice must be sought & served. Also, the circumstances do not seem above board. No one is questioning that. Broadcasting bikini pictures of Rhea or calling her ‘Vish-Kanya’ & other derogatory names is the correct manner to go about it? Enough said.”

A user then tried to bash her in a tweet that reads, “Did you ask same question when blind articles and friendly media target SSR and kangana Ranaut, once kangana was declared same witch, black magician story.. Did you convince that time. Tab nahi to ab kyun?”

Sona gave him a befitting reply. She wrote, “Indeed I did. I was possibly the only one in the industry who did stand up for Ms Kangana Ranaut when Mr. Shekhar Suman’s son was talking rubbish about her years ago. So all of you justice crusader gyan givers trolling me, buzz off..”

Sona Mohapatra is known for boldly speaking against wrong-doings. In 2018, Sona joined the Me Too Movement and accused Kailash Kher and Anu Malik of sexual misconduct. She also lashed out at Salman Khan for targeting Priyanka Chopra when she quit his film ‘Bharat’.

Apart from Sona, Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhaskar and others have also condemned the media trials against Rhea when the case is still under investigation.
