The entertainment anchor reveals that the show started with a bang as the first episode was an exclusive interaction with Somy Ali.

Charrul Malik says, “Our Talaash of 90’s Bollywood starlet started with Somy Ali, who came to India from the US with one dream and that was to marry Salman Khan. After meeting him, she did stay back in Mumbai and became a Bollywood star. Her journey is fascinating to say the least. After a considerable effort, search, and meeting with Somy’s co-stars and colleagues, team Talaash could finally connect with her virtually. She lives in the States now and does social work, runs her NGO, No More Tears”.

Malik spoke to Ali “at length about her life, entry into Bollywood, relationship with Khan and their ugly break-up”.

The former actor also shared about the kind of work No More Tears has been doing to empower survivors of domestic violence and trafficking.

Talking about the positive response around the episode, Malik shares that it was Ali’s honesty that reflected on screen and impressed the viewers and said, “Somy is friendly and charming. Her strength lies in her honesty. She is a fearless woman who is doing so much help those in need. Her good intention worked in her favour and that’s something that makes her special”.
