‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai’ Makers Face Legal Notice From Asaram Bapu

The courtroom drama ‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai’ starring Manoj Bajpayee, has been trending on social media ever since the trailer was posted on YouTube. The main conflict in the story is a courtroom confrontation between Manoj’s character, P.C. Solanki, and a godman who is charged with raping a 16-year-old girl.

According to their lawyers, the movie is extremely offensive and disparaging of their client, and it could damage his reputation and hurt the feelings of his supporters, as stated by Etimes.

Reacting to the same that that they received legal notice, the producer of the film, Asif Shaikh, said that his legal team will respond to the legal notice, and they have obtained the rights to PC Sonalnki, and the biopic is based on him. He stated further that now if someone says that the film is based on them, they can think whatever they want, and we can’t stop them. Only our intention is to tell the truth, when it comes out. 

Let us tell you, Asaram, who sent the legal notice to the film makers, is currently incarcerated in a jail in Jodhpur, receiving a life sentence for the rape of a young girl. Director Apoorv Singh Karki is making his film debut with Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai. In addition to Kaustav Sinha, Nikhil Pandey, and Priyanka Setia playing important roles, Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai was produced by Zed Studios in association with Bhanushali Studios.
