Singer Bappi Lahiri Admitted To A Hospital In Mumbai

Popular playback singer Bappi Lahiri was admitted to a hospital after he tested Covid-19 positive.

Popular singer and music composer Bappi Lahiri has been admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital. He tested positive for coronavirus and was admitted to hospital immediately as a precautionary measure. He is currently 68-years-old.

Bappi Lahiri’s daughter Rema Lahiri Bansal issued a statement that reads, “Bappi Da has exercised immense precaution but has been detected with mild Covid symptoms. He has been admitted under the care of Dr Udwadia at Breach Candy Hospital purely as a precautionary measure due to his age. He will be fine and home soon. Thank you for keeping him in prayers always.”

Bappi Lahiri has a music career of about five decades. He shot to fame for the use of synthesized disco music in Indian cinema and has even lent his voice to some of his major disco chartbusters.

Apart from Bappi Lahiri, many other Bollywood celebs like Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, Kartik Aaryan, Ranbir Kapoor and Milind Soman have contracted the virus in the last few days.
