From the first look poster, we can say that Sidharth is looking strong and fierce as a covert operative in director Shantanu Bagchi’s Mission Majnu opposite Rashmika Mandanna. Today only a few hours back, the makers finally unveiled the first look poster of the film.
One of the most distinguished and well known actors in B town, Sidharth has time and again proven his mettle and credibility as a versatile actor who can pull off any kind of unconventional characters with confidence and dedication with films like Student Of The Year (2012), Jabariya Jodi (2018), Marjaavaan (2019), Hasee Toh Phasee (2013), Kapoor And Sons (2016), and so on.
Sidharth will be seen playing the role of a RAW agent who would be seen leading the mission in this crime thriller where this film marks the official Bollywood debut of the South superstar Rashmika Mandanna into Bollywood film industry and also is the directorial debut venture of the iconic ad film maker Shantanu Bagchi in B town. The film has been written by Parveez Sheikh, Aseem Arrora and Sumit Bhateja and would be going on floors for filming in February 2021.
Whilst sharing the first look poster of the film on their official twitter handle, the makers wrote a caption that read, “The deadliest covert operation undertaken by our intelligence agency behind enemy lines! Presenting the first look of #MissionMajnu”.
This film has been co produced by Ronnie Screwvala under his banner RSVP Movies with Amar Butala and Garima Mehta where Mission Majnu is based on the real life incidents that took place in the 1970’s.
According to a digital entertainment portal’s report, whilst talking about this film, Sidharth told, “Mission Majnu is a patriotic tale inspired by true events that celebrate the hard work of RAW agents who go out of their way to protect the citizens of our country. It is a privilege to tell the story of our brave agents, and I am eager to revisit a mission that forever changed the relationship between India and Pakistan. I am looking forward to sharing this special film with everyone”.
While it marks the official Big bollywood debut of the stunning and ace South superstar actress Rashmika Mandanna who has starred in many commercially successful films like Anjani Putra, Geetha Govindam, Kirik Party and so on.. she asserted that she is very thankful and blessed for the makers offering her the film Mission Majnu. She also added, “I am super excited to start my journey in Hindi cinema and to reach out to newer audiences”.
