Sidharth Malhotra’s Next Upcoming Film Gets A Title

It’s a good thing that now film shooting schedules have started along with untitled films finally getting their film titles, especially the official Hindi remakes of hit South based Tamil or Telugu films where the latest new update is that actor Sidharth Malhotra’s next upcoming film gets a title.

This is indeed a happy and exciting piece of news for the Student Of The Year (2012) actor’s fans all around the world and in India too that their favorite Bollywood hunk actor Sidharth Malhotra’s next upcoming film gets a title.

Sidharth Malhotra is known for charming the audiences with some unforgettable performances in films like Student Of The Year (2012), Hasee Toh Phasee (2013), Ek Villain (2014), Brothers (2015), Baar Baar Dekho (2016), and so on.

Sidharth’s this next upcoming film is an official Hindi remake of the 2019 Tamil super hit film “Thadam”. This movie is going to be an action crime thriller masala film. While this was indeed exciting news, but earlier not much details were known about this film project.

According to the recent new updates, we’ve got to know that this film also stars stunning actor Mrunal Thakur who will be seen playing the role of a cop while Sidharth will be seen playing a double role in the film.

The film’s title will be called “Gumrah”. A leading Indian digital entertainment website also quoted the source involved in the development of the film project saying, “The producers have also locked a title for the Hindi remake of Thadam. They are going to call it Gumrah. The title suits the narrative as the film has a lot of plot twists and turns too”.

Originally, interesting fact here is that ‘Gumrah’ was also the name of the 90’s Hindi film that had late iconic actor Sridevi and Sanjay Dutt playing the leading roles.

The latest news reports also say that though the storyline will be different and unique, but the plot of the film is going to be very similar to that of the original Tamil film and there’s going to be lot of similarities in the treatment of the film plot regarding the hindi remake.

The source also added this information that, “When the makers were scouting for a young actor to step into Arun Vijay’s role, they thought of Sidharth because he can play the vulnerable and the brawny well. Mrunal has been cast in the film because they needed a solid performer to pull off the character”.

Sidharth and Mrunal are already set to lock their dates soon and begin shooting by the end of 2020.
