Rohit Shetty was recently severely injured during an accident on the sets of the upcoming web series Indian Police Force. However, just a few hours after the accident, the filmmaker resumed shooting for the web series in Hyderabad. And Bollywood star Sidharth Malhotra could stop himself to shower praise on the director.
Sidharth took to his Instagram and share a short video to show how the director was back on set within 12 hours and called Shetty the “OG Action Master.” In the video, Malhotra said, “Guys, we have the OG action master right here who after a very, very unfortunate incident yesterday is still back on set.”
The actor then asked the director, “Sir, how are you feeling?” Replying to him, Rohit Shetty, who appears with a bandaged hand, thanked all the well wishes he received from the fans. He then revealed that he has got stitches on two of my fingers. Alongside the video, Shershaan star penned in the caption, “A true master leads by example. We all know about @itsrohitshetty Sir’s love for action and his passion towards the stunts he directs.”
The actor added in the caption, “Last night while performing a CAR STUNT action piece HIMSELF, he met with an unfortunate accident. After a sleepless night and a minor surgery, he’s back on set in less than 12 hours. Sir, you are an inspiration to all of us. Love and respect.”
Shetty also gave an update on his health on his social media to express gratitude to his fans and well-wishers. Sharing the photo of the Indian Police Force crew, Shetty penned, “Another car topple… but this time with stitches on 2 fingers… Nothing to worry about, I am absolutely fine…thank you so much for your love and concern.” The director added, “Shooting Indian Police force for Amazon Originals in Hyderabad @primevideoin Indian Police Force.”
For the unversed, the Indian Police Force marks the web series debut of Rohit Shetty. The Amazon Prime series also marks the web series debut of Sidharth. The upcoming web series will star Sidharth Malhotra, Vivek Oberoi, and Shilpa Shetty in pivotal roles. Indian Police Force will exclusively premiere on Prime Video. The official release date of the series is yet to be revealed.
