Actor Kartik Aaryan is all geared for Karan Johar’s romantic comedy Dostana 2. The movie will mark Kartik’s Dharma debut. Dostana 2 is the second installment of the 2008 film Dostana starring Priyanka Chopra, Abhishek Bachchan, and John Abraham. While Punchnama boy is all excited for this venture, Ayushmann Khurrana gets the advantage of the first-mover as his Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan based on homosexual relationships hits the big screen before Dostana 2.
In a recent interview, Kartik Aaryan told that he feels highlighting LGBTQ relationships is more important than Box Office numbers. The industry is working together for the same cause. He went on to say that there is no commercial race between Dostana 2 and Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. “Both the films have completely different plots but the subject is so important that all of them are equally invested in the same”, Kartik added.
The Luka Chuppi actor feels that the LGBTQ community has not been represented appropriately in Indian cinema until now and he is happy how we are making the changes. He wishes that 2020 should be that year where we celebrate homosexual relationships through such stories.
Dostana 2 stars Kartik Aaryan alongside Janhvi Kapoor and debutant Lakshya. The film will hit the big screen in 2020. Meanwhile, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar releases on 21st February. The film also stars veteran actors Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao along with Maanvi Gagroo and Manurishi.
Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan has already created a lot of buzz prior to its release and even the songs released from the movie have become chartbusters. Now, it will be interesting to see how the movie does on the Box Office.
