Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar has created a lot of buzz prior to its release. The audience is in complete awe of the trailer and both of the lead actors are getting praised for backing a movie as such. The story-line of the movie revolves around same-sex marriage and breaking the stereotypes prevailing in Indian society. In a recent interview, the film’s director Hitesh Kewalya spilled the beans about certain facts of the movie.
The film happens to be Hitesh Kewalya’s directorial debut in Bollywood. Hitesh initiated the conversation by talking about the first installment of the franchise in the 2017 movie Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, he said that both the movies focus on different aspects of male sexuality. He further added that the main motive behind choosing such taboo ideas for the film is to put it across the table in an entertaining manner. The director believes that people should realize that such things happen in our society.
Hitesh then went on to tell about what led him to focus on issues faced by homosexual couples. He then opened up about his first encounter with the LGBT community and it was when he was studying in a design school and got to know about their struggles.
Speaking of the film, Hitesh said they want to break the stereotypes the society has kept captivated in their heads about homosexual relationships. Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is all slated to release on 21st February 2020.
The film stars Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao, and Maanvi Gagroo alongside Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar.
