With the sudden demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, all his films have come to a halt. One of his most anticipated films was ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’ for which he was prepping since 2017. Sushant was to play an astronaut and for this, he even underwent training at NASA.
This film was very close to Sushant’s heart because we all are aware of his love for science and the universe. And after his demise, many people are wondering that if this film will be made with a new cast or will be shelved forever.
The film’s director Sanjay Puran Singh has revealed that he will make this film sooner or later. In an interview with a leading daily, he said, “The film is not shelved. I hope I will be able to translate on screen what I have visualised in my head and put on paper. That said, I am not reviving it right away as it has not been even a year to Sushant’s passing; his loss has been emotionally exhausting.”
He further added, “Whenever I make the film, it will be a tribute to Sushant. He was so attached to the script that I owe this to him. He had given a lot of inputs.”
Later, Sanjay also said that he can’t think of a replacement for Sushant.
Well, seems like the director will be taking this project real slow and we wonder who will be eventually selected as the lead actor.
