All of them wore masks as precautionary measure.

Priyadarshan, director of the film told a news portal in April, ”We had 12 more days of shoot left. We were to shoot in Kullu-Manali, there was one song and few scenes left. Almost 80 per cent of the film is complete. We could have finished the film by now if not for coronavirus. I enjoyed doing the film, I am happy with it. I hope when people see it, they like it too.”

The film was initially scheduled to release on 14th August 2020. But the production was halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We may expect the release in 2021 now.

Shilpa said that the film will not be released on OTT platforms and would aim for theatrical release. She said in an interview, “I’ve had a word with Sabbir (Khan; director of Nikamma) and he’d not like to release it on the web. Ours is a very big film, we want to hear it on a Dolby digital surround sound. Even Ratan ji (Ratan Jain; producer Hungama 2) doesn’t want to do it. These are not OTT films. Everything happens for the best, we’ll get to it when we get to it.”
