After pushing ahead Shehzada’s release by a week to avoid clashing with Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, Kartik Aaryan’s Shehzada has now found itself in another big trouble. Just two weeks before it’s release (the film is arriving in cinemas on February 17), Manish Shah of Goldmines Telefilms has decided to release the Hindi dubbed version of original Telugu movie Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (2020) starring Allu Arjun on YouTube.
For the unversed, Kartik Aaryan- Kriti Sanon starrer Shehzada is a Hindi remake of the Telugu movie Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo that featured Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde.
Revealing the reason behind his decison to release the film on Youtube, Manish Shah of Goldmines Telefilms in his recent media interaction said, “If I have purchased a film why would someone else decide things for me? I’m not aware of it. I only understand my business. I paid a huge amount of money to buy the rights of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. I was expecting the movie on satellite channel for the last one year. We have taken a call that once we finish one year, we will put it on YouTube. That one year has got over, so we’re putting it on YouTube. The one year call was our internal scene.”
Manish Shah further added that he doesn’t think Shehzada’s business will get affected by his decision to release the Hindi dubbed version of the film on the Youtube. “That’s a Hindi movie. And this is a South movie. This film is already on Netflix. People have already watched it on Netflix. It was one of the most-viewed movies on Netflix in 2022. I have not received any calls (from the makers of Shehzada).”

For the unversed, last year Manish Shah had decided to release the Hindi dubbed version of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo in theatres but makers of Shehzada and Manish jointly decided to withdraw the theatrical release. Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo is already streaming on Netflix and has been there on satellite of TV channels. Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the action entertainer is one of the highest grosser film of Allu Arjun’s career.
