Sharman Joshi Talks About Losing Limelight After 3 Idiots

During a media interaction, Sharman Joshi was asked if he feels any pressure of getting less work and limelight post the success of 3 Idiots.

Sharman Joshi and Shriya Saran recently launched the trailer of their upcoming film “Music School”. It is a heart-warming 11-song musical film addressing how the current education system and parents put pressure on children to be competitive in studies, leaving them with no time to develop love for art and culture. During the trailer launch, journalists recalled Sharman Joshi’s blockbuster film “3 Idiots” which was made on the similar idea but was based on engineering studies.

During the media interaction, a journalist asked Sharman Joshi, “We haven’t seen you much after 3 Idiots. You are doing much lesser films. Why is it so? And how much pressure there is on you?”

To this, the actor replied, “It’s nothing like that. I have been doing various kinds of work, some popular and some not so popular. So what happens is, when a project doesn’t work, you don’t pay attention to it. But the work is going on and I will keep working. God has been kind. Very interesting work is coming my way and I am enjoying every piece of work that I get.”

He further added, “And if we talk about 3 Idiots, if you’ll make comparisons with that, then it’s like, can you compare a film with Sholay? So, it is a similar thing.”

“3 Idiots” features Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, R Madhavan, Kareena Kapoor and Boman Irani. It was directed by Rajkumar Hirani and was released in 2009.
