The daughter of Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor who is waiting to debut in Bollywood stated that if Karan Johar will ever directs her, then she will get emotional and "just die."

Shanaya Kapoor who recently debuted at le Bal in Paris is eagerly waiting to debut in Bollywood as an actress. Karan Johar is known for launching new faces in Bollywood and Shanaya was asked if she would want Karan to launch her as an actress, she said, “I mean, yeah! I don’t think any actor would say no. He is a family. He is talented and the most amazing director. I think I would start crying if Karan ever directs me. I would get emotional and just die.”

Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor’s daughter was recently seen as the assistant director on the upcoming film “Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl” which was backed by Karan. She revealed that as soon as she finished with school, her mum and dad asked her to go to LA or New York for a course but she was focussed on getting into the film industry. According to her, the best education that one can get is on a film set.

Before entering the film industry as an actor she revealed that she wanted to be an assistant director and Karan helped her. She revealed that Karan told her how ‘there is this movie that Janhvi is doing.’ She also stated that it was a big jump from school and it was the best experience of her life. And on being an assistant director, she also learnt about how much work goes into making a film.

And though she hasn’t signed her first film as an actress, she said, “I have not finalised anything yet. I don’t want to rush into something. I think your first movie is like your baby, you are so protective. I am open to all kinds of scripts. I think the industry is changing so rapidly. The movies that you don’t expect to do well, become blockbusters. It has become so content-based. I am looking and trying to find someone who is making a great film. There are so many directors. It will be an honour to work with them.”
