Bollywood film industry and the actors are religiously and strictly following all rules related to the COVID 19 pandemic on their sets and fans are feeling very excited as well.

This isn’t surprising at all considering the love that the “Kabir Singh” (2019) actor got from all sections of the world has made him into a much stellar performer who is versatile enough to pull off any sort of roles quite effortlessly.

This is indeed a signal that things are turning back to normal again as film production houses and actors after the unlock phase IV have slowly started going back to their film shoots.

Jersey is an original Telugu film, which is being remade in Hindi. This official remake of the Telugu film Jersey’s shooting had actually started before the COVID 19 pandemic, but had gotten halted and stopped due to the global coronavirus pandemic that resulted in an indefinite lockdown and quarantine period for everyone at their homes for about 7 months.

Even now not everything is okay and normal as the pandemic is in full force even now but the unlock phase has allowed the film industry to get back into the grind whereby they are completing their film shootings by following all the rules of sanitization, wearing masks and social distancing as well.

Shahid’s decision to take a major pay cut of about Rs 8 crores thereby slashing his fees straight to Rs 25 crores from the original amount of Rs 33 crores has now caused a temporary halt and pause in the film’s shooting schedule which is currently happening in Chandigarh.

A recent leading digital entertainment website report says that Shahid has decided to take a major pay cut for Jersey to make it commercially viable which has paused the film’s shooting.

The source involved in the film’s development in conversation with the leading digital entertainment website was quoted saying, “Shahid had previously signed Jersey on two conditions – a remuneration of Rs 33 crore and a percentage in the profit share. The makers had mutually agreed on the same demands and the film shoot was on when the COVID-19 outbreak caused a temporary pause in the film’s schedule. In the last few months, the whole perspective of making a film and its budget has changed considerably. So the producers requested their lead star to take a pay cut, to keep the project on floors. They felt the film will otherwise go over-budget”.

The media news report also clearly mentioned the fact that no further changes were made in the profit sharing clause where the source also explained the fact that, “Shahid has slashed his fees by a whopping Rs 8 crore and is now charging them Rs 25 crore. But he is also very confident of the film’s success given the way they are shooting it. So the producers have not changed his profit-sharing clause at all”.

Meanwhile the Hindi remake of the Telugu hit film Jersey stars Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur in leading roles in the film. The shooting schedule has already started and the production team will be shooting the scenes in Dehradun and Chandigarh to wrap up the film.

On the work front, Shahid was last seen in the hit film “Kabir Singh” which starred Kiara Advani as the female lead. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film turned out to be one of the most controversial and highest grossing films of 2019.

On the other hand stunning actor Mrunal Thakur was last seen alongside Hrithik Roshan in Super 30 which marked her official debut in Bollywood films industry.
