Jersey featuring Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur streamed on Netflix last week. The movie was released on the OTT platform along with Ram Charan and Jr. NTR’s RRR on 20th May. Within a week of online streaming Jersey, which is a remake of a south movie in the same name, was watched for 4.4 million hours on Netflix. Jersey didn’t make much at the box office but is soaring high success rate online after its Netflix release.
After a month of its theatrical release on the 22nd of April Jersey was streamed on the OTT platform. With 4,470,000 hours viewed Jersey has also entered Netflix’s global top 10 films listing at number 7. The film is also trending at number two in the top 10 films in India. Fans have showered love and appreciation for the sports drama in less than a week of its Netflix release.

Jersey is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and has been produced by Allu Aravind. The original Telugu version of the film of the same name was released in 2019.
