Shahid Kapoor’s Best Reaction On Jersey Clashing With KGF 2

After a long wait, Shahid Kapoor’s film ‘Jersey’ is all set to release in theatres. The film’s shooting suffered a delay due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The team sailed through tough times and planned a theatrical release on 31 Dec 2021. However, due to a sudden surge in Covid cases again, the film’s release was pushed.

Jersey is finally hitting the screening on 14th April and will clash with the much-awaited Kannada film KGF 2. Despite being a regional film, KGF 2 has a strong buzz around the nation and is expected to break several records.

Commenting on the same, Shahid said during a press conference, “Every time, we are asked the same old questions on clash. But on a holiday, the film earns better at the box office. There’s an audience that wants to watch our film and there’s an audience that wants to watch the other film. But then, there’s also an audience that just wants to watch a film. They just wait for a holiday to watch a film. So, why should you not be the film that is in the theatres when everyone wants to go and watch the movie? So, you should not give yourself so much importance also that people will visit theatres only to watch me. There are several other factors that make people visit the theatre to watch a film.

Jersey is a sports drama film and remake of a Telugu film with the same name. It features Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur in the leading roles. On the other hand, KGF 2 stars Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon and Prakash Raj.
