Shah Rukh Khan is the superstar of Bollywood and enjoys a massive fan following across the globe. The actor has many laurels to his name and his name has become a synonym to stardom. As we know the SRK hails from a middle-class family in Delhi and what he has received till now is truly unbelievable. Shah Rukh Khan rose to fame through sheer hard work, dedication, and passion towards his work and climbed the epitome of success.
It was back in 1992 that the small-town boy stepped into Bollywood and since then he hasn’t looked back. His debut film was ‘Deewana’ opposite the late versatile actor Rishi Kapoor. On the sudden demise of Rishi Kapoor, Shah Rukh took to his Instagram to share a heartfelt note for the veteran actor. He also revealed the first compliment he received from Rishi Kapoor that encouraged him and got him where he is now.
Shah Rukh Khan wrote, “As a young man entering the daunting world of films, I was insecure about the way I looked and afraid that I was not talented enough. The thought of failing meant nothing though, because even if I failed, I would have worked with the greatest actor I knew of – Rishi Sahib.”
He further added, “On the first day of the shoot, he sat for my scene to finish after pack up, then with that famously radiant smile on his face he said “yaar tujhme energy bahut hai.” That day in my head I became an actor! Few months ago I met him and thanked him for accepting me in that movie, he had no idea how he had encouraged me.”
SRK also recalled how Rishi Kapoor would pat his head every time the two met.
King Khan went on to say, “Few men have the capacity for grace as he did, fewer still have the large heartedness of feeling genuine happiness for the success of others. I will miss him for many things, but more than all of them, I will miss him for his gentle pat on my head every time we met. I will keep it in my heart always, as the ‘Ashirwaad’ that made me who I am today. Will miss you Sir, with love, gratitude and immense respect…forever.”
Alongside the emotional note, Shah Rukh Khan also posted a picture from ‘Deewana’.
Apart from ‘Deewana’, SRK and Rishi Kapoor also shared the screen space for movies like Jaadu and the 2012 film Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
Versatile actor Rishi Kapoor took his last breath in Mumbai at the age of 67 on Thursday. He was battling leukemia for the past two years. Bollywood fraternity is doomed at the loss of such a wonderful star. His films will forever be remembered and cherished by the nation.
