Shah Rukh Khan Generously Donates 25,000 PPE Kits To Medical Teams Across Maharashtra

After making donations to several relief funds across the country, Shah Rukh Khan has now pledged to donate 25,000 PPE kits to medical teams across Maharashtra. Read below to know more.

Bollywood’s superstar Shah Rukh Khan is doing all he can to help India fight the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. A couple of days back Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan donated to several charities and relief funds and also offered their 4-storey personal office building to BMC to improve the quarantine facilities for children and elderly women.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan has again won the hearts of his fans as he has decided to generously donate 25,000 PPE kits to medical teams across Maharashtra. The news of Shah Rukh’s noble deed was announced by Rajesh Tope who is the minister of Public Health and Family Welfare of Maharashtra. Tope thanked King Khan for his genuine support.

Shah Rukh Khan instantly wrote him back and said, “Thank you sir for all your help to source the kits. We are all together in this endeavour to protect ourselves and humanity. Glad to be of service. May your family & team be safe and healthy.”

The Minister of Public Health and Family Welfare wrote, “Many thanks Mr. Shah Rukh Khan for your kind contribution of 25,000 PPE kits. This will go a long way in supporting our fight against COVID19 & protecting our frontline medical care team @iamsrk @MeerFoundation @CMOMaharashtra.”

Shah Rukh Khan had previously donated to PM-CARES, Chief Minister’s Relief Fund of Delhi, West Bengal and Maharashtra. The actor also turned his 4-storey office building into a quarantine center, for BMC thanked the actor and his wife Gauri Khan.

Shah Rukh Khan has also joined the hands with the World Health Organization (WHO) and Global Citizen. The actor will be participating in a virtual concert called ‘One World Together At Home.’

The concert is set to take place on 18th April and it will be curated by singer Lady Gaga. The concert is to show support and applaud frontline workers and essential workers who are fighting the war against the COVID-19.

The concert will showcase real-life experiences of doctors, nurses, and families making it through the global pandemic.
