Fans of Shah Rukh Khan can’t keep calm as his film Pathaan is near its release date! SRK is making his full-fledged comeback as a lead actor after 4 years. He was last seen in film Zero, which was released in Dec 2018. He then took a long hiatus from films. In 2022, he did cameo roles in Brahmastra and Rocketry:The Nambi Effect. However, it would be exciting to watch him in a full-on action packed film with John Abraham opposite him. Meanwhile, you’ll be shocked to know Shah Rukh Khan’s fees for Pathaan.
Pathaan is a big budget film. It is a part of YRF’s spy universe. If the reports are to be believed, Pathaan is made with a budget of Rs 250 cr. Meanwhile, a report by India Today has disclosed Shah Rukh Khan’s fees for the film. The news portal quoted a trade expert who revealed that SRK has charged just Rs 35-40 crore for the film. The fees might seem very low, knowing that Akshay Kumar is charging about Rs 100 cr for each film these days.
However, that’s not the complete picture. Apart from charging Rs 35-40 cr, SRK has also demanded a share from the film’s box office profit. These days, actors often sign deals where they may charge low acting fees but compensate it by asking a share from profits. Even Akshay Kumar does it for a lot of films where he can’t ask for big cheques.
Well, we have high expectations from Pathaan. The film’s advance booking was recently opened and it collected Rs. 1.5 crore on Day 1 in India. The film is releasing in theatres on Jan 25. Let’s see if it smashes some records!
