Shah Rukh Khan, who had an extraordinary year in 2023 with three back-to-back hit films, is set to return to the big screen with his much-anticipated film, King. The movie is generating buzz not only because it features the Bollywood superstar but also marks the on-screen debut of his daughter, Suhana Khan. The latest reports by 123telugu suggest that King will be hitting theatres in June 2026, with the exact release date to be revealed soon. Additional reports reveals that SRK began filming in Spain recently, as much of the movie is set in Europe. Suhana is expected to join him in January 2025 for her part of the shoot.
While, according to Bollywood Hungama, the shoot is scheduled to begin early in 2025 to capture the perfect weather conditions in Europe, a key element for the visual effects the filmmakers are aiming for. Sujoy Ghosh, the film’s director and producer Siddharth Anand are collaborating closely with Shah Rukh Khan to ensure the film lives up to expectations, with SRK personally involved in perfecting the script and action sequences.
SRK’s mention of King at the 77th Locarno Film Festival last month further excited fans, as he revealed how focused he is on making this project a visual and thrilling experience. The film will also feature Abhishek Bachchan in a villainous role, adding to the anticipation.
