Sony LIV’s recently released web-series titled ‘Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story’ created a rage amongst people. The crime drama web-series was directed by Hansal Mehta and portrayed the 1992 Indian stock market scam committed by stock broker Harshad Mehta. The series garned positive reviews and is currently the highest rated Hindi-language Indian web series on IMDb with a rating of 9.6 out of 10.
If you loved Scam 1992, then you should brace yourself for another unique scam story. Ullu App’s upcoming web-series titled ‘Paper’ of crime thriller genre stars Rohit Roy and Parag Tyagi.
The plot revolves around the life of a gambling businessman played by Rohit Roy. During an interview, Rohit Roy revealed that this is the kind of character he is never played before. He said he has never prepped for a character in his 25 years of career. But for his character in ‘Paper’ he had to push his limits. He also admitted that people will draw comparisons between ‘Scam 1992’ and ‘Paper’ but it doesn’t bother him much. Rohit Roy said, “I am sure that people will love this web-series.”
On the other hand, Parag Tyagi plays cop ACP Aditya Diwan. During a previous interview with a leading daily, he had said, “It is a very interesting subject and even more interesting character. I play the character of an honest and dedicated cop ACP Diwan, who’s breaking all odds to bring down the scam kingpin. I had a great time shooting with Rohit and the entire cast and I look forward to the launch.”
‘Paper’ has six episodes. It will start streaming on Ullu app from 13 November.
