Satish Kaushik Death: The country woke up to the shocking news of Satish Kaushik’s demise this morning. The ace actor and filmmaker passed away in the early hours of March 9. He was 66 years old. His sudden demise has left everyone in deep shock and grief.

Akshay Kumar expressed his grief via a tweet. Akshay Kumar and Satish Kaushik together made us laugh in Mr. and Mrs. Khiladi. Their iconic Mama and Bhanja jodi is still one of the most memorable pairings. Remembering his co-star, Akshay wrote, “Chanda Mama is gone. Deeply saddened to hear about Satish Kaushik ji’s demise. Will remember him for the spontaneous laughter he brought to the sets of Mr. and Mrs. Khiladi. Am sure he’s already making everyone smile in heaven. Om Shanti.”

Actress Kangana Ranaut got emotional as she wrote, “Woke up to this horrible news, he was my biggest cheerleader, a very successful actor and director #SatishKaushik ji personally was also a very kind and genuine man, I loved directing him in Emergency. He will be missed, Om Shanti.”

Priyanka Chopra wrote in her Instagram story, “Om Shanti Satish sir. Papa and you will be talking and laughing as you always did. You will be very missed. Thank you for bringing so much laughter into our lives. Sending love, prayers and strength to the family.”

Karan Johar wrote, “This is the saddest and extremely shocking news to wake up to….Such a solid actor and an immensely gracious and kind man…RIP sir…This is a grave loss to our cinema and fraternity.”

Satish Kaushik succumbed to a heart attack while travelling in a car. He is survived by his wife Shashi and daughter 11-year-old Vanshika Kaushik. His funeral will be conducted later today.
