As per, Akshay Kumar’s Sarfira has already sold more than 12000 tickets worth Rs 25 Lakh for its first day through advance booking.

According to Cinefry, Sarfira has been made on an estimated budget of approx. 80 Crores.

Sarfira Cast

Sarfira stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role alongside Radhika Madan in the female lead role, and Paresh Rawal in a key role. Meanwhile, South star Suriya will be seen in a cameo role in the film.

Additionally, the film also stars Seema Biswas, R. Sarathkumar, Saurabh Goyal, Rahul Vohra, Prakash Belawadi, and Anil Charanjeett in supporting roles.

Reportedly the film’s digital rights have been sold to Disney+Hostar.

Sarfira Story/Plot/Synopsis

Based on the Tamil film ‘Soorarai Pottru’ and inspired by Simplify Deccan founder G. R. Gopinath’s life, this movie tells the story of a visionary. His dream was to make air travel accessible to the common man, allowing them to fly for the price of a train ticket or even secure a flight ticket for just one rupee.

Akshay Kumar stars in the lead role in the film directed by Sudha, who previously directed the Tamil original Soorarai Pottru with Suriya. In “Sarfira,” Akshay’s character navigates financial challenges and more to secure a pivotal meeting with a business magnate, portrayed by Paresh Rawal, who owns the nation’s largest airline.

Despite encountering disapproval and insults, Akshay resolves to pursue his dream independently, contemplating the innovative idea of offering flight tickets for just ₹1 to make air travel accessible to everyone. Watch the trailer here!
