Aditya Dhar’s highly anticipated film The Immortal Ashwatthama was earlier reported of being shelved. The Vicky kasuhal starrer film was postponed due to the covid-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, as per the latest reports the film which earlier reported to feature Vicky Kaushal along with Sara Ali Khan has now went under a few changes as now the lead actress of the film Sara Ali Khan has been dropped from the project. Here’s why-
Sara Ali Khan Replaced From Vicky Kaushal’s “Ashwatthama”
As per an India Today report, it is now believed that Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan has now walked out of Aditya Dhar’s film The Immortal Ashwatthama. The report suggested that the actress very much wanted to become a part of the film, but since the revised script demanded an older actress and the dates were also clashing with the actress’s schedule, Sara had no other choice but to drop the project.
A source told IndiaToday.in “After the film was indefinitely pushed and between revival, the script has been revised as well. While the earlier script demanded a young girl to be cast, Sara was on board. However, with the dates clashing and the change of role, it was no longer doable. The script in its current state needs a slightly older actress to be cast opposite Vicky. Hence, now the makers are looking at other options.”
Meanwhile, now it is believed that the Oo Antava actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be seen replacing Sara in the film. Meanwhile, Vicky on the other hand, won’t be getting replaced at all, the source told the portal, “Today, it is the story that matters, not the stars. Vicky has a stronghold and credibility with the audience, so there is no doubt of him being recast. In fact, pre-production for the film has already begun. Since the film is mounted on a huge scale, the makers are spending nearly 8-10 months on pre-production to ensure everything is in place and ready.”
While apart from Ashwatthama Vicky and Sara will now be seen collaborating for Laxman Utekar’s next.
