For the one living under a rock, Sara Ali Khan is the daughter of Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan. Sara is also the granddaughter of Bollywood veteran actress Sharmila Tagore. The Love Aaj Kal actress recently appeared on Roposo Live where she was asked if she could play Sharmila Tagore “on screen”?
To this Sara said, “She’s so graceful. I don’t know if I’m graceful.” She added: “I speak to badi amma (grandmother) quite a lot, but I don’t think I’ve actually spent much time speaking to her about her career as such. There are so many other things. She’s so well-read, interested in current events, and has a great sense of general knowledge. She’s such a classy lady and she’s had such a life. She has world views and we’ve spent so much more time talking about that than actually her craft, which I think I should.”
Sharmila Tagore has been one of the most renowned actresses of her time, the veteran actress made her debut in the Hindi cinema in 1959 with Satyajit Ray’s drama Apur Sansar at the age of mere 14 years. Soon after which the actress gave many classics like Aradhana, Safar, Amar Prem, Aavishkar, Daag, Tyaag, Raja Rani, and many more.

Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan was last seen in Aanand L Rai’s film Atrangi Re which also featured Akshay Kumar and Dhanush. The actress will soon be seen in Laxman Utekar’s film with Vicky Kaushal. Apart from this Sara also has “Gaslight” with Chhapaak actor Vikrant Massey and Chitrangada Singh.
