Sanjay Dutt Shares His Views On Why South Cinema Is Doing Better Than The Bollywood Industry

After Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt also shares his opinion on what makes South cinema better than Bollywood.

After Anil Kapoor, Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt joins the list of actors and filmmakers of Indian cinema who are praising the South Indian film industry for providing their audience with an amazing theatrical experience, while Bollywood continuously fails in attempts to do so.

Apparently, the recently released south movies like Pushpa, RRR, and KGF: Chapter 2 have taken the nation by storm. Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt who played the antagonist named Adheera in KGF 2, speaks about the difference between the Bollywood industry and the South film industry.

In a recent interview, the actor revealed that he feels that the Hindi film industry has forgotten the larger-than-life heroism, but the Southern industries didn’t forget heroism. Sanjay Dutt, meanwhile, blames the involvement of corporate structure in vanishing the heroism in Bollywood while in the South, he feels that the same thing does not exist which has worked for them. The actor mentioned the recent pan-Indian box office success of films like “Pushpa” and “Baahubali” as examples of the heroism which seems to have vanished from the Bollywood films.

Anil Kapoor also shared similar views recently. During the trailer launch of ‘Thar’, actor Anil Kapoor was asked to comment on the success of regional films from South India. To which, he said, “The South industry has always made nice films. Even during growing up, I saw people appreciating south films. Be it Ram Aur Shyam or Ek Duje Ke Liye. So, they have made amazing films and will continue doing so. They have always been a kind of inspiration. I started my career in the South. My first film as a lead actor was in Telugu. I learned professionalism, dedication, and discipline there. I then also did a Kannada film. It was Mani Ratnam’s first film. I did several Hindi films that were adaptations of South films. I have always admired them. I don’t get surprised by their success. It was bound to happen and will continue to happen forever.”

Sanjay Dutt will be seen next in Akshay Kumar starrer- Prithviraj. The film will also star Manushi Chillar, Sakshi Tanwar, and Sonu Sood. The actor also has Shamshera in the queue starring Vaani Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor.
