Salman Khan to star in brother Sohail Khan’s ‘Shuddhi’ rather than Karan Johar?

Karan Johar's Shuddhi which was reported to have Salman Khan in the lead may have hit a roadblock of some sort as new reports claim that Salman Khan's brother Sohail has registered the title.

The film Shuddhi’s making has been in talks for a few years now. Well, we do understand that a few Bollywood films take over a few months, while others take years to get a few details right. And now Shuddhi happens to be one such film. But it is now reported that the film may have hit some sort of a roadblock. It was initially reported that Shuddhi was  Karan Johar’s dream project with Salman Khan playing the lead, but new reports claim that Salman’s brother Sohail just registered that title.

When the cast for Shuddhi began, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan were decided to star in the film. But soon Hrithik opted out and Salman was to replace him as he gave a nod for the project to be helmed by director Karan Malhotra. And as Salman Khan was supposed to co-produce Kesari with Karan Johar, later walked out of the project. And due to a lot of back and forth producer, Karan Johar revealed that Shuddhi will surely happen and he may get Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan to star in the same.

But now a source told an entertainment portal that there is a high possibility that Sohail Khan will be making Shuddhi. And if these rumours are to be believed, then surely he would cast his brother Salman in the lead role. This also means that even though Salman opted out of Karan Johar’s Shuddhi, he may yet end up doing a film titled by the same name by his brother.
