Salman Khan took a dig at Bollywood award functions at the press conference of the 68th Filmfare Awards. Salman, who will be seen hosting Filmfare Awards 2023, attended the press meet on Wednesday evening where he said there’s no originality left and that the genuineness of an award has vanished these days. He revealed that awards are given to the ones who are present or whosoever performed during the event. He then added that if someone is close to the host (Filmfare’s Jitesh Pillai) then that particular person receive back-to-back awards.
He then also added that he used Filmfare awards as doorstoppers. He said, “I have never been interested in these awards because I have seen so many of them at home. When my dad had no work, we used to use these awards as door-stoppers. And when there was no more space in our house, dad used to give them away. So this is my life story.”
After the event, clips from the press conference started doing rounds on social media. Fans are praising Salman for his daring confessions at the Filmfare stage.
