Salman Khan was last seen in ‘Antim’ which had an OTT release, and since then fans have been waiting to see Bhaijaan’s charm on the big screen. It was rumoured that Salman would be seen next in an action-comedy, with no official announcement on the film. Since the news of the making of the project hit floors, rumours and gossip have been rife regarding the star cast and many other factors of the film. Director Farhad Samji hence had to address a few rumours and here’s what he said!
Among a few rumours, some were indeed true, but others made no sense, according to director Samji. Like this one particular rumour, that the makers of the film and director Farhad were not on the same page, giving rise to creative differences. It was also rumoured that because of this indifference, Salman himself would be directing the film. But a leaked image from the sets of the film says otherwise, where director Samji can be seen supervising the film, shooting of which has recently started.
An inside source revealed, “The production house has not made any official announcement yet. Whatever has been written and chattered about is nothing but idle gossip and holds no truth or value to it. The production house plans to announce the project and its cast very soon. Recently there were rumours that Farhad Samji is not directing the film, which is absolutely false. Farhad has been visiting the set from day one of its being built. He is spending more and more time on the set only because the shoot is about to start.”
Rumours are also rife that the character Salman is supposedly portraying in the film, is a bit on the flamboyant side, which the actor last portrayed in ‘Radhe’ too. While Salman had shared how he only performs this character on screen, as would never take any of them with him, to his home. “I can’t take characters like Dabangg or Radhe back home. I can’t walk around in front of my parents as Chulbul Pandey. My dad would hit me, my mom would slap me and my brothers and sisters would be embarrassed of me. At home, I am a son and a brother” he said.
“So, I would rather be somebody like a Bajrangi Bhaijaan because I can take his on-screen goodness in real life. I don’t take the flirting and the love story with the heroines back home, nor do I take all the action, beating up 50-60 people, chopper sequences — I don’t have that in me. That’s a self-obsessed, or an egoistic person. I know what my capacity is, I know how much I can do and I know how much the stunt double can do. I don’t take that back home but I take a bit of the goodness back” he added.
