The novel coronavirus outbreak has adversely affected many sectors in society. Although the lockdown has been imposed for the safety of the society, certain sections in the society are facing dire consequences because of the same. Amongst them are the daily wagers in the cine industry who are currently facing lots of difficulties due to the lockdown.
In the midst of the pandemic, Salman Khan has stepped forward and has pledged to generously donate money for 25,000 daily wage workers in the industry. Meanwhile, the reports state that the account details of around 19,000 workers have been received.
The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has received these details. According to the recent reports, some workers with stable financial conditions have voluntarily opted out and have asked the federation to help those who are badly in need of the monitory help.
Talking about Salman Khan, the actor’s manager has opened up that Salman will start transferring money next month to help the workers. The kind and noble deed of the actor is being praised and applauded by everyone from the industry.
Ashok Dubey, the general secretary of FWICE also revealed that out of the 19,000 workers whose details have been received 3000 of them have already received Rs.5000 each from the production house.
Therefore, the details of the remaining 16,000 workers have been sent to Salman Khan who has begun to transfer money and everyone will receive it soon.
Dubey also stated that Rs. 1.5 crore has been received by the producers’ guild and that more is expected to come from a few other places too.
