The sudden demise of veteran actor Rishi Kapoor left the whole Bollywood industry heartbroken. The late actor took his last breath in Mumbai on April 30, 2020. He was battling leukemia for almost 2 years. The whole of the entertainment industry paid tribute to the late versatile actor and reminisced all the moments they spent with the now gone star.
The most affected by the sad news was Rishi Kapoor’s family including the late actor’s wife Neetu Kapoor, son Ranbir Kapoor and daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. Even his niece’s Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor were left in utter shock after the heard the news of their uncle’s demise.
Yesterday, Neetu Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor held a prayer meeting for the late actor and many big names from the industry attended it. Later, Neetu Kapoor took to her Instagram to pen down an emotional and heartwarming note for her late husband. She also expressed her gratitude towards the doctors who treated Rishi Kapoor during his 2-year cancer treatment.
She wrote, “As a family we have a deep sense of loss.. when we sit together and look back at the past few months what we also feel is immense gratitude – gratitude towards the doctors at HN reliance hospital! The whole team of doctors, brothers, and nurses headed by Dr Tarang Gianchandani treated my husband like he was their own – they advised us like we were their own.. and for all that and more I thank them from the bottom of my heart..” Alongside the note, she shared two pictures. One picture of Rishi Kapoor himself and the other picture of her and Rishi together.
The ashes of the late actor were immersed at Banganga Tank in Mumbai by Ranbir, Neetu, Alia Bhatt, Riddhima and Ranbir’s dear friend Ayan Mukerji.
