In a recent interview with FimiBeat. Kantara actor and director Rishab Shetty thanked Kangana Ranaut for praising his film Kantara. He said, “As soon as I got her (Kangana) message, I shared it on my Instagram Stories and tagged her as well. It feels nice to get praise for a rooted, regional film.”
He added, “I always used to think more regional is more universal. This is the story of my village which I am presenting to the world. It is being loved across the globe. People are talking elements like about our beliefs, tradition, culture, ritual, and way of life. As a writer, I feel happy,” Meanwhile, Kangana also shared the interview video of the actor on her Instagram stories.
Yesterday after watching Kantara, Kangana shared her review and said, “I am coming back with my family after watching a film called Kantara and I am still shaking. What an explosive experience!. Rishab Shetty hats off to you. Writing, directing, acting, action, brilliant! Unbelievable! What a fine blend of folklore, tradition, and indigenous issues. Rishab Shetty’s film Kantara is based on the Karnataka annual festivals, Bhoota Kola and Kambala. The film is based on folklore, a story of a conflict between humans and nature. The story revolves around “Bhoota” who trades forest land with King in exchange for happiness later King’s son grows up to become a greedy person and claims back the land.
